Stuffed Breakfast Sausage Patty

This was easily my biggest kitchen experiment of the last three years. Not only did my kids eat every last crumb, they have asked me to make these again every night since the first (I haven't yet, but totally will).

Now, a stuffed burger? Those are all the rage right now, but how do you put the sure to please the family twist on it? You make breakfast for dinner!

And thanks to my Good Cook Burger Stuffer, it's going to be super easy to do again and again and again. This made pressing the meat together around the stuffing super simple.

And it let's you measure the size with the handy lines!

And then you press it all together. The stuffer is three parts and it comes apart easily to get your food out of it. Each red piece detaches from the clear part, so not only can you slide the food right out, it cleans up easily too.

What you need for 4 servings:

1# Ground Breakfast Sausage (roll)
4 Eggs
1/4 Cup Shredded Cheese
Chopped Onion
Splash of Milk
Season to taste with salt & pepper
4 English Muffins

Directions:

Mix in a bowl the egg, milk and seasoning. Cook and scramble. Let cool slightly.

Mix eggs, cheese and onion in a bowl. Place 1/8# sausage in the bottom of the Burger Stuffer, scoop 1/4 of the egg mixture into the center, press 1/8# of sausage on the top. Repeat for 3 more.

I used the Cast Iron Grill to cook my patties until done.

Toast the English Muffins, add finished patties and voila!
